Add multiple fields from the data pane to the design surface

Is it possible to drag multiple fields frm the Data Pane to the Design Surface. I have designers looking at creating reports from a Power BI Dataset and the report may have 10 fields. The designer has indicated they need to drag all these fields into the design surface one-by-one which is time consuming. Is there a shortcut around this or is this the way the tool was designed.

You don't need to use drag and drop, you can just click on the tick box next to each field and that will add the field to the currently selected visual.
