About PBIRS Sep 2024

Hi All,

According to the blog post, the PBIRS Sep 2024 has some updates, but i can not find "Data format" in the Sep 2024 desktop.

For example, in the "Visuals, shapes and line enhancements" section, the youtube video demo "how to specify data label from Format Pane > General > Data format", but i can not find "Data format".

And there is no preview setting related to this function.

Hi, @Vanchy_Liao

The Data format you mentioned is a preview feature of Power BI desktop and is not included in the current update of Power BI report server. The demo you saw on YouTube is about this preview feature. You can also see this feature in Power BI desktop:

Here’s what I see in Power BI desktop:

The blog post mentions an update where the legend and tooltip icons for visuals will now automatically and accurately reflect the formatting of each series, such as border color, shape, and line style. This update can be seen in the Power BI desktop RS version:

Here's what I did to test this update:

The legend can correctly reflect the format and line style we set for a column in the chart. This is the report update function of the Report Server.
