Unable to receive emails from Reflex Triggers in Data Activator

I have a page within a Report that shows the names of tables within my Cloud Data Warehouse, and the status of their load(0 for 'Late', 1 for 'On Time', -1 for 'Not Run')

I did setup an alert using Data Activator where if the Status "CHANGES TO" to Late i.e. 0, I should get an email. Unfortunately, that email trogger doesn't works.

The DETECT PANE in Data Activator only detects for the present day, at 12:00 AM Mark and doesn't updates each hour. (Attached Image Below)

Now, technically - It should show the legends at 18:00 (Since Power BI Works on UTC Timezone), but it isn't.
Can someone help me with this and tell me what's wrong with Data Activator? My Vision is to get status emails for the "Top 10" Ranked Views, Once a Day.

Hi @Uttasarga ,

The information you provided is too little, what is your method of determining “the status of their load”? Are your status changes updated in real time?

Best Regards,
Dino Tao

Hi @v-junyant-msft, The Status of their load is determined by whether for the given date, let's say 07/16 -

  1. If we have a corresponding load time for a view on that day, and if it's before 7 AM, then the view loaded BEFORE SLA
  2. If after 7 AM - PAST SLA,
  3. If we don't have a corresponding entry - It's PAST SLA for that day.

Hi @Uttasarga ,

I guess your trigger should be created based on Event? How do you create the Event here?

You can click on the event you created to check whether this event will only have data at 12:00 AM?

Dino Tao

Sure @v-junyant-msft , I chekced the EVENT on which the trigger is based, and EVENT has only the data for 12:00 AM? Isn't it supposed to update every hour?

Hi @Uttasarga ,

I did some testing and here are my results:

It can be updated in real time, so I think there may be a problem with the creation object or judgment condition when you create the Event. You must also ensure that the data used in your Event is updated in real time (it cannot be updated only when your Status changes, but data must be transmitted all the time)

@v-junyant-msft Thank you for testing yourself. Appreciate it.
So, the Data Stream does get transmitted in real time. I am getting data from a table in Azure Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool, and the refresh schedule for the report is every half hour.
Is there a way where we can open a Incident Ticket and we can meet for this. I am sure this could be solved well when we meet.

Hi @Uttasarga ,

Of course! You can open a support ticket here: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/newsupportticket/fabricdataactivator

For how to create a support ticket, please refer to https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-create-a-support-ticket-in-Power-BI/ba-p/6830...

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Best Regards,
Dino Tao
