table.combine-statement hangs

when i choose to append 2 queries / use the table.combine-statement , the query editor in power bi desktop keeps showing progress / yellow dots but never finishes. how can i append successfully?

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

Could you paste a screenshot of your senario?Sometimes it happens when your tables are very large which consume long calculation or your CPU is overloaded.

each of the 2 tables has about 40 rows and 75 attributes/columns. so, quite small

Hi  @Anonymous ,

 

Is there other steps that consume large calculation?Try to clear the cache in desktop and also check the CPU performance.

we'd need some additional details on your scenario to help you determine what's going wrong. I would recommend that you try doing this on 2 small datasets, just to see it work. Then compare that to the one that isn't working and see what is different.
