@HASSANNAZEER,

I would recommend you create a ODBC data source for BigQuery, then use ODBC connector in Power BI Desktop and write SQL statement in the connector to check if you can successfully import data from shared dataset.

There is a similar blog for your reference.

Need help in connecting Data to PowerBi.

@HASSANNAZEER,

What is the result when you use ODBC data source in Power BI Desktop and write the above query in the ODBC connector?

Lydia

I assume OP is asking in PowerBI (service), not PowerBI Desktop.

If you use ODBC, you cannot use DirectQuery anymore. This means refreshing data locally (in desktop) and then publish - same with a gateway setup.

Pretty absurd since both PBI service and BigQuery are in the cloud, and cumbersome if you need the refresh daily.
