power query linked to excel table

currently if one of the queries in power query in an Excel workbook is linked to an excel table in the same workbook, Power BI will not refresh from the workbook. Can this be fixed?

Not sure that is technically supported at present, although there are a lot of bugs in the refresh process it seems.
