power bi publisher addin disappears each time I close Excel

Does anyone else have this issue in Excel?

I've just installed the latest version incase that was the issue.  Still no luck

I'm on 64 Bit Office Excel 2016   version 1609 Build 7369.2038

Yes, this same behavior was happening on my workstation.

The following changes to the registry resolved the issue for me.

1) Regedit from the command line 

2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\MicrosoftPowerBI.Client.ExcelAddIn

3) Modify the LoadBehavior

4) Change 'Value Data' from 0 to 3

I was encountering this same issue with the Power BI Publisher for Excel plug-in.  I went into the registry to change the load behavior and it resolved it for me.

1) Regedit

2) Navigate to thHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\MicrosoftPowerBI.Client.ExcelAddIn

3) Modify the LoadBehavior

4) Change 'Value Data' from 0 to 3
