need help loading excel file in power bi
hi!
i am trying to import data or load data from an excel file into power bi. i have selected the page or file i want per the screenshot below and it does not give me the option to load but cancel. i have already verified that the excel file is in the correct format as well. i have also tried loading various different excel file and the same thing occurs, the load option is greyed out. i am unable to load data with excel. can someone please help with this?
- The Load button is disabled because no table or sheet has been properly selected in the Navigator window, even though the preview is visible.This behaviour usually occurs under in the Navigator, the table name must be selected using the checkbox on the left.
Selecting only the preview on the right does not activate the Load button.
Once the checkbox is marked, the Load button should become available. In the left pane you can see the Excel file (Sales orders sample data for power bi.xlsx) with the tables/sheets underneath it, but the checkbox next to the sheet/table is not checked. When no table is selected, Power BI disables the Load button and only leaves Cancel active.

i went back and redid what you recommended and it worked! i am very happy now and so grateful for your help!
