if im getting data from a sharepoint, will it automatically update?

Two ways:

1. Scheduled Refresh - you can refresh 8 times a day with Pro, or 48 times with Premium or Premium Per User.
2. You can use Power Automate to monitor those files and trigger a refresh after each edit. However, it is still limited to 8 or 48 triggers in 24 hrs. If you are a pro user and someone updates the files 10 times in 24 hrs, no refresh will happen on times 9 and 10, and until the 1st refresh token expires, no refreshes available.

For specific help if you want to go the Power Automate route, you'll need the SharePoint trigger and Power BI Action in Power Automate. The folks in the Power Automate forum can assist if you have any issues. In power bi desktop, when you connect to sharepoint, you need to click the 'Refresh' button manually to get the latest updated data from the data source if you do not re-open the report.

For automatical update, you can publish the report to power bi service and set sceduled refresh for it.

You can set the refresh frequency in power bi service:
