Hi,
I have uploaded a CSV into PowerBI and one of the numerical fields is parsed as if it is text. I would like to change the column type. However, I cannot see any way to do it in the PowerBI web app. I cannot drag the "mean" column to the analysis (no Sigma sign).
when I go to the dataset I see as if it is numeric. I don't know what's going on

Hi, @hshteingart ;
First of all, if you want to change the type of the column, you can change the type in desktop and then publish it to the service, which is not so convenient and there is no way to change the numeric type.
Secondly, your first graph is the "mean" column and the second graph is the "mean" measure, which are not the same.
Taken together, your "mean" column is a text type.
