Hi guys,
just had a Q about GA.
I've just pulled data from GA into the desktop and online vesions of this and they both are showing me different numbers. I have sessions loaded for the same time periods but the number of sessions is slightly different betweeen the two.
I was wondering if this was due to a relationship that I had between the date/day fields where they're linked in a many to one relationship (GA Metrics by Date is the one with Table 1 and GA Dimensions being the many) with Both being sleected for "Cross Filter Direction" in my desktop version. Maybe this is something that just happens?
Cheers folks!
Hi @HanLee,
The Google Analytics content pack and the connector in Power BI Desktop rely on the Google Analytics Core Reporting API. Though Power Bi desktop try to keep the update along with API changes, we are not able to guarantee the results of your queries when using this connector. For more information, see: Google Analytics connector for Power BI Desktop.
In your scenario, please try to update the desktop to the latest one.
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
Thanks for the reply. My desktop currently has the most up to date version but I've still got this issue.
So this isn't due to my relationships and is a known issue withing Power BI Desktop?
