get data from files on a sharepoint site

Hello,

i have built a powerbi report with some excel files, which are located on my personal OneDrive for Business.

Now i want to make these files also availabla for my team. I thougt about putting these excel files into a sharepoint site and want to connect these files on the sharepoint site with my current PowerBI report.

Has anyone experience in getting data from a sharepoint site?

Thank you in advance

Serhat

Hi sk,

You don't need to open in excel online, you can click on "..." then select "Get a link". Copy the one marked "Restrict link" in the selection list (the others link do not work)

Kind regards,

@sk I haven't used sharepoint data sources but there are number of connectors available for sharepoint data sources.

Thank you for your response.

I solved the problem: it was a little bit tricky but here is a link: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-use-onedrive-business-links/

regards,
