Hi experts,
I have two tables, the column “Department “it has a fixed values in two tables and the column “Values “
Has a different values, when I tried to represent the data of two tables based on date, the data don’t shows and when I do the relationship between table 1 and table 2 this message appear “cannot create a direct active relationship between two tables "
because i am having 2 relationships:
1. Between table 1 and calendar table.
2. Between table 2 and calendar table.
can anyone help me, how to fix it.

Instead of linking the tables, add a Department dimension to your data model and link it to both tables.
Hi @Lolo_2023 ,
The lbendlin's response is a viable solution!
And @Lolo_2023 , This type of closed-loop relationship between multiple tables is not recommended in Power BI Desktop because multiple active relationships create conflicts and multiple relationships may lead to unclear dependencies between tables:
BTW I did my own testing on this and I can still display the data with just these two relationships:
So could you please provide us with your sample data and a description of what calculations you are trying to achieve?
Best Regards,
Dino Tao
