XML Expanding Error

I'm not an expert on XML, but I think if power query is identifying as table, then there is a reason for that in XML. What you can do is to apply a Transform.Columns to read from the table first cell / first column. Here an example of a possible function

{{"Element:Text", each try _[#"Element:Text"]{0} otherwise _}}
