Will my Google Analytics Power BI connections break once Google moves to GA4 on July 1st.

I have set up a Power BI few data-flows pulling directly from google analytics using the build-in connector.

Will these queries break once google moves to GA4 on July 1st.

Or will there by changes performed by the PBI team to ensure continuity of data through/after the transition?

Thanks.

Hello. Your queries won't break, just your GA properties won't keep pulling any data at all. So you will have to migrate to GA4. Also, now the beta 2.0 connector is compatible with GA4 too but still has some issues.  In case you connect your GA4 data and you have any problem, as a workaround you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your G4 fields:

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
