Why does Split Column by Delimiter edit the data?

One of my columns has a description of 5/32" x 7/8' to start, but after going through a Merge Column/Split Column by Delimiter Power BI changes the result to 5/32 x 7/8'. Why did it remove the quotat...

    When splitting columns through UI, in advanced option try selecting 'None' for Quote Character 

    You will also see it says 'QuoteStyle.None, false' in the M code.
