Hello everyone,
I am reading the book Master Your Data with Excel and Power BI, I am trying to follow the book.
The author of the book is creating a new parameter with Binary type and is able to input into the Default Value and Current Value.
However, if I set Type = Binary and Suggested Values = Binary, then Default Value and Current Value fields become greyed out for me.
And because of this, I am unable to create a parameter like the one in the book.
Do you know why that is the case for me and how can I fix it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It looks like the author already has an actual sample file before he makes that parameter. Seems like you need to have a query for which the source file is your sample file and that that query is named "Sample File". Then you'll be able to select the value from the drop down menu.

Thank you, it looks like I missed an important step in the previous page that required me to delete automatic drill down.
It is working now.
