Using import instead of direct query
- Anonymous8 years ago
ashwinibh you should be able to go to the Desktop and change the connection to Import from Direct Query pretty easily, however, once you make the move to Import, you will not be able to change to Direct Query. So, it may be a good idea to save the report as a different name if you would need to revert back.

ashwinibh,
After you schedule refresh for your dataset, you can also refresh Power BI embedded report, please review the following blog.

But then, we will have to schedule a refresh for getting up to date data. And how will that support in pbix developed in PowerBI desktop and then embedded into .net application.
