Using Power Query to group data into unique values and to simplify layout

Hi, I'm wondering whether I use Power BU or Power Query for this problem?  I can solve the problem in excel, but the raw data is huge (c500,000 records) and excel gets cumbersome when handling this amount of data.

I've got a large file of data, structured as follows.

Each row represents a telecoms operator for that address/UPRN (Unique Property Reference Number).  What I would like to do would be to have a unique list of UPRNs - 1 record for each UPRN, with fields to the right of this UPRN field, 1 field for each Operator.  A bit like this?

Any ideas how I achieve this in Power Query or Power BI?

  • No need to do anything. Load your data as is, and then use a Matrix visual. UPRN on rows, Operator on columns, Speed on values.
