Hi,
We are currently using the Power BI Service and the Enterprise Gateway to create reports in direct query mode from our on premise SSAS tabular model.
Unfortunately due to current visualisation limitations in Power BI (Scatter Plots with Polynomial Trendlines) I need to deliver a report in Excel. The Excel workbook also connects directly to the on-premise SSAS tabular Model. The intention was to host this excel workbook in Power BI Service and still have the ability to interact back to the on Premise SSAS tabular model. However, it looks like Excel Online in the Power BI service does not use the Enterprise gateway and it cannot connect back the on-premise tabular model to refresh the excel pivot table.
Do you know if it is possible to configure Excel Online in the Power BI Service to connect to on premise data sources or to use the enterprise gateway?
Any insight or help with this is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Kevin
