Updating single date via SHarePoint

Hi,

I have tried to find a solution to my problem but so far unsuccessfully.

My dimension table must be updated monthly.

I have an Excel file in DIM Folder and I have made a connection via Sharepoint.

I was hoping I could just redirect the link to the same folder but that would pick up the new month's copy.

I have tried the Power Query Editor - Data Source settings, change source, but that changes the source, I would like the source to stay as it is and only pick up the new copy of my excel file.
What is the way to do this please, or an alternative way of doing this?

Thank you,
J

Hi @Anonymous ,

Why not just archive the old version of the dim file each time you get a new one, then save over the last one with the new one? Then PBI is only looking for the same file name and will just grab whatever the latest data is in there.
