Unable to use almost every tool on power query.
I recently started studying PowerQuery within PowerBI and I noticed something very displeasing that's happening since the first time I click on "transform data".
The error details are:

This error did not prevent me from opening PowerQuery but I can't use almost anything inside it
Also, I need to use the "custom column" but everything is greyed out.
Tried to reinstall, to execute as administrator, installed older versions, and the problem still persists. Any Idea of what's going on?

Be advised that the first thing they will tell you to do is to install the latest version of Power BI Desktop, which is September 2025.

In addition to BA_Pete response, In the meantime, you can use Power BI Web to perform Power Query transformations via Dataflows. While it's not a full replacement for Desktop Power Query Editor.Thank You.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the app.powerbi.com because every time I try to log in it, it tells that I cannot enter with my personal e-mail address, but...that's the only option I have, since I don't have access to any commercial or student account

Thank you for your reply. Since you can't use app.powerbi.com for Power Query transformations, I suggest submitting a support ticket as BA_Pete recommended.

Please try to update your Power BI desktop, this isue is addressed in the updated version.
