Unable to use POWERfunction correctly in PowerBI
Hello PowerBI enthusiasts,
I'm trying to use the power function to calculate some data in my PowerBI.
When i do it in excel I do like this:
Excel calculation 1:
Excel calculation 2:
The calculations does the exact same thing, one with the Power function and one just using simple math in Excel.
I want to figure out how to do the exact same thing in PowerBI as i do in Excel calculation 1.
This it what happens when i try in PowerBI
I hope some of you can help me 🙂
Best regards,
Mads
It doesn't look like the same formula. In powerbi, the diameter is getting raised to the power of everything but I think you want it to raise to the power of 2. The closing bracket is in the wrong place.

The comma (,) is being interpreted as a separator for another parameter instead of a decimal point . So you can rewrite it with a point (.) or change the regional settings/powerbi settings for decimal points

Hi HotChilli,
Thank you for the swift reply, so far so good. Now i get a result, but it isn't the one i'm looking for.
The equation is the same as in Excel, but gives a very different answer.
