Unable to load table via web data connection

Hi all,

I am trying to use the Web connection via Power Query to connect to the below url, but can't seem to do it. There is no tables returned and the HTML code doesn't give anything useful. Can anyone advise please?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Scrapping data from a website is not something you can do in every site.

It is recommended that you download the data locally, and then connect to the .xlsx file.

Hi Stephen,

Noted on that. I do agree that due to the difference in how websites are being setup, not every site can be scrapped. I had planned to use that function to automate certain reports for my users, in order to save the manual download process.

I did some further research and found this article below that can bring me further. However, it still get stuck at the very last step, maybe because the website creator inserted some security measures to prevent users from scrapping data off their website.

So my conclusion is yes, not all websites data can be scrapped. Thanks Stephen for your reply though!

Cheers!
