Unable to install On-premises data gateway
I'm getting the following error messages : (windows 10)
ystem.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service PBIEgwService on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The service did not respond to the start or control re

I've added windows folder permissions to c:/users. this did not help - Any ideas?

Hi Samuelparker,
1. Make sure the machine to install data gateway meet the minimum requirements.
2. Please run the latest on-premise data gateway installer as administrator.
3. Please reboot the machine.
4. Check if the environment has Proxy. Follow this article to troubleshoot: Firewall or Proxy.

Installer logs
%localappdata%\Temp\On-premises_data_gateway_*.log
Configuration logs
%localappdata%\Microsoft\on-premises data gateway\GatewayConfigurator*.log
On-premises data gateway service logs
C:\Users\PBIEgwService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\on-premises data gateway\Gateway*.log
