Hi all,
I'm experiencing a new issue where I cannot delete the ID column from a connected Sharepoint List and therefore it is affecting the other connected queries.
The column is imported into Power BI from a Sharepoint List:
The "Changed Type" step just confirms certain columns to Text and Dates.
When I try to remove the ID column I get an error where it says it can't find the column:
I've tried the following:
1. Reconnect the List under ther "Source" step
2. Re-uploading the List into a new List and reconnecting it
3. Deleting the column is other referenced queries results in the same error in the other query
All have failed so far.
The Advanced Editor is as follows:
Any help is greatly appreciated please!

That's interesting, I didn't believe you until I went in and tried it myself - that is in fact what happens. 🙂
The 1.0 connector does not have this same issue, so you could reconnect using 1.0 as a workaround. I end up using it 90% of the time anyway since 2.0 has issues with the 5k item threshold.
Hello, I had the same issue. I tried to rename the colum ID before delete it and it worked.
thanks for posting this, I have this same issue and it only appears with version 2.0 connectors too. It seemed to be something new that appeared because I had that error in the service but not the desktop version, then desktop replicated the error a week later and I could not understand why it only just appeared when previously the report had been fine not using the ID column.
Now in a new report I am connecting to something using 2.0 again and it makes me keep the ID column. Would be interested if you find out any more 🙂

Appreciate the help!
I didn't know about the 5k item threshold issue actually.. will have to re-work my import parameters i suppose
It's not a problem with 1.0, so if you switch to that you should be fine. 🙂
