Unable to conect a power pivot model in excel to Dax Studio

I am working on having a metrics audit of each dashboard in my workspaces. First of all I did it from Dax Studio, conected to my Power BI model, and get the results on an excel linked. When I tested it the very first time, everything was updating perfectly because I had the excel file and the pbix opened; but now if I change a metric in my pbix, it does not change in my excel file (downloaded from dax studio). I've heard that is easier to do from an excel file conected to a model; so I get the option "analyze in excel" from a dashboard in power bi service; now that I have an excel conected to power bi model, I want to get it conected to dax studio, so I run the Dax Studio add in from my excel file, but seems I cannot conect.

Any help on this?

Hi @ATO23 ,

-- but now if I change a metric in my pbix

Do you mean modifying the measure?

“Analyze in excel” allows users to connect to the semantic model using Live-connection, which facilitates the processing of data in Excel. You cannot use it to directly modify the measures in the semantic model.

If you are using incremental refresh and want to preserve the data in the history partitions, you can use the ALM toolkit to synchronize only this measure to your semantic model.

You can also download the pbix and open it on your desktop to modify the measure and republish it to the service.
