Hello,
New Power BI user here, attempting to troubleshoot a problem in a report that was previously created by another user. It appears that I am unable to refresh a dataset due to Power BI being unable to connect to a particular Sharepoint document. The error message always lists "(500) Internal Server Error) in the description.
This error only appeared less than a week ago, even though I am unaware of any changes to the report in that time period. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
@jcbones12,
Are you able to connect to this SharePoint file in Power BI Desktop? And does the credential that connect to the SharePoint file change? Are you able to refresh data in Power BI Desktop?
Regards,
Lydia
So far, I have been unable to connect to the file or refresh the data in Power BI Desktop either. I am not aware that the credentials have changed to connect to the Sharepoint file.
Thanks
@jcbones12,
What error message do you get in Power BI Desktop? And what authentication type do you use? Are you able to access the SharePoint online file in web browser?
Regards,
Lydia
This is the error that I receive when trying to refresh the dataset. The error is the same when trying to refresh the data in Power BI Desktop. I have not had any issues accessing the Sharepoint file in web browser.
Thanks
@jcbones12,
Have you checked if there are any specific issues in the Adhesive Projection table? Does the table contain any specific columns?
Regards,
Lydia
