Trying to connect to data in Teams/Sharepoint - help please!

I've tried a few different solutions supplied in similar threads, but am still having no luck, so here goes...

I'm trying to connect to an Excel file kept in Teams.  First I tried to doing so via Sharepoint Folder.  I copy the URL from Sharepoint, shorten it to the root folder as instructed in a different thread (https://syebuffalo.sharepoint.com/:f/s/summercamp), and log in using my Microsoft 365 account (the same account I use for Teams and Power BI).  I apply the permissions to the level of the root folder.  But when I hit connect, I get this error:

I've also tried connecting directly to the file in question via Web.  I copy the URL from Sharepoint, paste it in, sign in with my Microsoft 365 account and apply permissions to the root folder level.  Then I get this error:

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?  Thank you!

It may be https://syebuffalo.sharepoint.com/sites/summercamp/ .  Are you starting with the URL from when you visit the SharePoint site directly?

Pat

That did it @mahoneypat !  I was copying the link from the "Copy link" button, which wasn't producing the same root folder link as appears in the actual address.  Once I used that one (which you rightly guessed), it worked.  Thanks a ton!

Hi @dancross43 ,

I think you need to remove service characters from the path, would become something like https://syebuffalo.sharepoint.com/summercamp/ for SharePoint connector.

Kind regards,

JB

Hi @Anonymous ,

I just tried removing those service characters, making the URL https://syebuffalo.sharepoint.com/summercamp.  Upon trying to connect, I got the same error as before.  Any other thoughts?  Thanks!
