Totals and Percentages in PowerBI do not match with Excel Pivot tables

I have a excel file which has data and some pivot tables in other tabs.

I have made visualizations using it and also replicated the pivot tables in the power BI.

Ever so slightly some places the values wont match and some places it would be matching perfect.

annual total revenue matches but annual totals breakdown by regions do not match.

Margin percentages also sometimes dont match.

Data is confidential so I am not able to share screenshots.

Please Help

Thanks in advance

You could start and stay with the currency (Fixed Decimal--4 decimals) data type.

@Karnik_- Identifying the precise cause of the discrepancies is challenging as several factors could contribute to the differences. Potential reasons include issues related to business logic calculations, filters or slicers, formatting, data types, time intelligence calculations, or Power Query transformations. To address this, a thorough review of these factors is recommended. By comparing settings, formulas, and data models between Power BI and Excel, you can identify any inconsistencies and work towards resolving the variations in Totals and Percentages.

If this post helps to find solution would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution and give it a thumbs up

Sounds like some floating point stuff.

Hi Nate, I have checked the datatypes and made sure that values match. How do I solve it?
