Thanks for your reply. you’re correct.
To clarify, this isn’t a permanent fix but a workaround. The behavior appears to be tied to the newer Implementation = "2.0" path in the current Power BI Desktop build. Switching back to Implementation = "1.0" allows users to continue working until this is addressed in a future update.
If this issue is a priority in your environment or continues to impact your workflows, we recommend raising a Microsoft support ticket so it can be investigated further.

My company does not seem to have a support plan (I am double checking with IT). Is there some other way to file a ticket?

If you’re unable to raise a support ticket due to your current support plan, you may continue using the workaround by switching the connector implementation version for now. If this issue becomes critical in your environment and requires further investigation, you may want to check internally whether enabling or upgrading a Microsoft support plan is an option, as that would allow you to open a support ticket directly with Microsoft.
