Could you please elaborate more details about your scenario? We need to verify that if you install different types of gateway on the machine and if you add data sources under Personal Gateway or other Gateway.
If you add data sources under Personal Gateway, the phenomenon in the above screenshot is normal. However, if you add data sources under other type of Gateway such as Enterprise Gateway and wants to use the Enterprise Gateway, please make sure that the data source configured for the Enterprise Gateway are configured exactly as the Personal Gateway, otherwise the “Use a data gateway” option will be disabled. EDIT:
Also observed that, while ADDing DATA SOURCE, it accepts SQL SERVER INSTANCE name instead of SQL Server IP/Name
(Which is usually accepted in SSMS).
