Synching Different Data Sources within the Same Dataset from Desktop
- Anonymous10 years ago
Brendan Couple things here. Auto Refresh implies a Direct Query (to me) - which can't be mixed with either entered data in the Desktop file or on premises sources like Excel in the file. The only scenerio that would allow that is to seperate your Azure data into a seperate report and combine everything via the dashboard (but it sounds like this all gets mashed up, so this probably won't work).
The option you do have, is if you can manually enter the data into the Desktop itself via "Enter Data" (copy/paste) from your Excel file, then as long as your Data table also exists solely within the Desktop, you should not need a gateway to set up Scheduled refresh because the only source would be Azure.
