Stopping query to hit the database

I have question on Power BI, there is any way to stop the queries hitting underlying database table while doing report development. I am using direct query method and each time i am pulling the column it is taking time. Is there is any way until the development query not to hit the database tables

You can use the Apply button

And limit background data actions
