In the book Master Microsoft Power BI, it says that only one database from a single data source is allowed to have DirectQuery, this book was written in 2022, I wonder if this is still the case in 2024?

You can connect the different data source by using direct query mode, but it will have some reminders, you can refer to the following picture.
