Single database within a single data source limitation still exist?

In the book Master Microsoft Power BI, it says that only one database from a single data source is allowed to have DirectQuery, this book was written in 2022, I wonder if this is still the case in 2024?

Sorry I couldn't find any info on the internet.

Hi @BenBlackswan 

You can connect the different data source by using direct query mode, but it will have some reminders, you can refer to the following picture.

The different data sourses by using direct query mode named composite model, you can refer to the following link about it.
