Sharing whole Excel files to entire organization

According to the support page, you can bring whole Excel files to your own workspace or your group's workspace. But since you can't add a whole Excel file to dashboards or content packs, or at least that is my understanding of the matter, is there a way share an Excel file to be viewed by the entire organization in Power BI?

(of course you can bring the data to a Power BI report and see the Power View visuals, but I'm curious about sharing Excel files that contain Pivot tables etc.)

This feature does not work yet but eventually we should be able to render and pin excel charts and tables to dashboards just like we do Power View charts
