Sharepoint Permission - Error 500 - Internal Server Error

I tried to connect to an excel file in power bi, but when I upload it to the portal it is NOT updating correctly.
It is giving me the error attached:

The user configured in the gateway has read permissions, but I still get the same error.

I just get it working by giving that user read and write permissions.

Is that correct? what am I doing wrong?

@Anonymous ,

What version of Power BI Desktop do you use? Please update it to latest version(2.66.5376.1681) and clear cache in Power BI Desktop.

In addition, do you refresh the SharePoint data in Power BI Desktop successfully? And do you have special fields such as calculated fields in the SharePoint data source?

Regards,
Lydia

Hi Lydia,

I have the last version of Power BI Desktop.

I cleared caché in Desktop and I can't refresh that table successfully unless I give that user read and write permissions.

Systems people are asking me for justification on this subject.

Regards,

Eli
