Salesforce Object Connector - permissions

Connecting to a Salesforce environment using the object connector.  Noticing a lot of objects that the login account supposedly has no rights to appearing as well.  This is true both on inital object...

If Power BI can retrieve records from those objects, I would first review the effective permissions of the Salesforce user, including the profile, permission sets, permission set groups, and any permissions assigned by installed packages. The Salesforce Objects connector should operate within the access granted to the authenticated user.

 

If you need a curated export with only specific objects and fields, you could also consider Power BI Connector for Salesforce. It relies on standard Salesforce permissions, but lets you explicitly define what is included in each Power BI data source.
