Try to linkage the SalesForce
There are 3 service as default in PowerBI
1. SalesForce report
PowerBI can list all my report, when I take one of them and click "connect".
It added the widget into my page. But the data is always empty, it show up a "cloud" image on widget and never change.
Try to switch to different kind of report, none of them work and all of them empty.
2. SalesForce Sales Manager & Repo
After signed with SalesForce, it just show "failed" message
So SalesForce service dataset doesn't work.
Hi @Brinc were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector, which pulls data from the SF objects API. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:
There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
Hi @Brinc,
1. Use Salesforce content pack, the Salesforce reports will be imported into separate tables in a new dataset, and we need to create a report or dashboard to visualize the data.
2. What's the error message throw out? Could you share a screenshots? Please use the Fiddler to capture trace and share .saz file here.
