Hi all,
I would like to use PowerBI to connect to a MySQL database but have been told that I should use the SSL certificate provided by the IT team given the sensitive nature of the data. How should I proceed?
The connection works fine without the certificate but I am afraid that this might involve some serious security breach. When I go on the connection settings I have the 'encrypt connection' box checked, but I doubt this is as strong as a bespoke SSL certificate (?).
I have been using Tableau for similar projects and the Tableau mySQL connector prompts me to include the SSL certificate whenever I create a new connection.
Thanks for your help.
Marc
