I have a dashboard that has been successfully pulling data from the CosmosDB SQL API into PowerBI for many months. However, a couple weeks ago when I tried to update the key used for authentication, it no longer authenticates. I did not change anything with my permissions/PowerBI/Cosmos setup. I get an error like the following.
Note that the key connection keeps working for existing dashboards with previously entered credentials, and only fails for updating the key.
I already tried regenerating the access key for CosmosDB and that does not solve the issue.

It was a simple fix. I was incorrectly copying the password from Cosmos - before selecting the copy icon, I first needed to select the eye "reveal" icon. Because I pressed the copy icon for the key before selecting reveal, I was accidentally just passing in a bunch of asterisks as the key to PowerBI.
