Hi,
I'm connecting PBI desktop to SAP business warehouse. When I choose measures and dimensions I get one table. If I choose hierarchies I get a huge extended table. Is there a way to receive dimensions in separate tables? Is there a way to create a star schema with the BW data?
Thanks,
Georg

Hi @Georg,
Power BI desktop currently supports SAP business warehouse in import mode, when we connect to SAP BW server, imported table are based on checked dimensions and measures, while dimensions will not appeared in separate tables. As live connection only available in SSAS data source currently, in your scenario, to work around the issue, you can change SAP BW to SSAS cube and build star schema on SSAS side, then you can connect to SSAS cube in live connection.
In addition, you an also vote and comment on this idea: Live/DirectQuery to SAP BW.
