Hi,
I imported data from a excel file on my local drive into power bi. Created a report, published it, downloaded the gateway and created the link. I also scheduled a refresh.
I checked the path in the power BI service and it is the same as the one of the power querry.
The refresh is working well, since the data in the power querry is updating, but my visuals are not.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.

@Iliandra,
In Power BI Desktop, please check if you disable "Include in report refresh" option in query editor. If the option is disabled, report in Power BI Desktop will not updated. Also check refresh history in Power BI Service so that we can analyze the reason that why the report is not updated in Service.
Regards,
Lydia
Hej
I encountered the same issue while I checked "Include in report refresh" option in query editor is enabled. The data is refreshed properly, but the figures and graphs are still disconnected from the data and don't show up.
Can you provide some guidance?
Thank you and best regards
Jing
@Iliandra,
Do you firstly connect to the Excel file in Power BI Desktop and create report there? If so, after you publish the PBIX file to Service, does the report update when you click "Refresh" in the following screenshot?
Regards,
Lydia
Lydia,
No, it does not update.
The only thing updating is the dataset in the Power BI Desktop from which the reports are created.
@Iliandra,
Do you mean that only the data and report in Power BI Desktop are updated? If so, have you checked the refresh history in Power BI Service?
Regards,
Lydia
@Lydia,
No, only the data is updated in Power BI Desktop. The report is not updated in PowerBI desktop and also not in Power BI Service.

Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for your feedback. While doing what you last told me to do, I encountered an issue with the data I was importing. Fixing that was the solution. Everything is updating now.
Many thanks.

Iliandra
@Iliandra,
Do you resolve this issue? If so, please accept my reply as answer to close this thread.
