Replicate an Excel connection to an SSAS cube in Power BI Desktop
- 9 years ago
Figured it out. Turns out there was an obvious way to do it. I just inserted a new pivot table in the Excel workbook, and used the Data Connection as the source for the table. Then I was able to look at all of the available tables, fields, etc., and determine that the list of tables and fields was identical to the one that is present in PBI when you use the Live Query connection.
