Rename column

Hi, I can see this topic has been discussed before but I don't find a solution for it. I needed to update a column name in my source file (I have multiple file in Sharepoint as source files) and did so i Power query, saved and closed and I see new column name i Desktop. Updating however returns error message missing column referring to the old column name.

Why is Power BI searching for an assumingly not existing column name? Any solution for this?

Possibly. But your image of the table you are renaming a column on is blury so I cannot read it, and I cannot read the error messages in that language, so it is difficult to help. One thing you can try though is if that field is used in a relationship as a key, remove the relationship, then rename the column, then put the name back.

Otherwise, please post a clear image of what you are referring to and the errors in English, or wait until someone comes along that can read that language and understand the error message.

    Hi JGG ,

    1. Please check if the column name in all steps has been updated to the new name.

    2. Please try to use Table.Buffer function after the rename step to buffer the table in memory, isolating it from external changes during evaluation.

    ex:

    = Table.Buffer(#"Renamed Columns" as table)

    Best Regards,
