Refresh not updating slicer

I have a training dashboard that has been working for the last year, this year we added a new class to the training. The data is auto refreshed and I can see the data (in power query) contains the new training class but when I close and apply the new class data is not showing up in the slicer or in the data on my dashboard.

What am I missing????

  • Hi user-1 ,

Difficult to be certain without actually seeing your report/model, but here's the first things I'd try in order of likelihood of fixing:

-1- Refresh the report: In PBI Desktop, go to the Home tab > Refresh.

-2- Also in Desktop, expand the filters pane and check 'Filters on this page' and 'Filters on all pages'.

-3- With the filters pane still open, select your slicers and visuals and check 'Filters on this visual'.

    Hi user-1,

it is possible that when you pin the visuals  to your dashboard, there are filters applied.

You can solve this by re-pinning the visuals with no filters or correct filters applied
