Hello,
I am working a pbix file with queries that contain period (.) in their names.
I have two questions, first is, how did the person who wrote the queries managed to create queries with period (.) in it when I tried to do the same, PQ says it is an illegal character.
second, if I can not change the query names, how can I update all the measures, calculated columns etc in one go?

Hi Nietzsche ,
You may not be able to update your query names in Power Query by including "." in the name, but you can rename those tables in Power BI desktop by adding "." in the names.
Please accept this as solution and Give Kudos, if it helps to resolve your issue.
Hi yes, name changes in PBI Desktop will sync in PQ, but Sorry I am not sure why it is not allowing to rename directly in PQ .

So after rename the tables with a period in it, it gets synced back to the query name in PQ?
Then why is it illegal to rename it with period in PQ in the first place?
