RFC_ABAP_EXCEPTION error while connecting to SAP BW report
Hello,
We are doing a PoC to explore visualisations of SAP BW reports in PowerBI. We have defined the DB connections and they are working fine with admin user.
When we try to run a report with a user who has limited authorisation to data, the below error comes up
The user is able to run the SAP BW reports without any errors in SAP BW . Are there any additional authorisations to be taken care of before using PowerBI? It seems to be an RFC issue but unable to pinpoint the root cause.

Anonymous,
Do you use the July release of Power BI Desktop? Based on my research, the above error could occur when the user lack authorizations on tables, I would recommend you contact SAP administrator to check the permission of the user.
There is also a discussion about the error in the following similar thread for your reference.
