Helper IQuestion marks instead of text in a row
When I try to ad a custom column with a text in cyrilic (Russian) letters I see questin marks "?" instead of text. It happens on some queries in the data model. On other queries there is no problem. With English letters it also works fine. The database is the same. What could be the cause of such a problem?

as tested, i add "Russian" and "English" language pack into windows language setting,
Then in power query, i select "English" as the current language to use, enter " " in the custom column,
after a while, i chnage "Russian" as current language and enter эАВЩГЬДДДЬШэ inside " ".

RaaassottoHi v-juanli-msft I think were right. But I'm not sure 100%. When I change regional settings to Ukrainian or Russian which are both cyrilic it doesn't take affect at once. At least for the old query. I suppose query keeps in memory the list of regional settings it supports and updates in not quite clear and straightforward way.

By the way, I found another problem related to regional settings. When I try filter words in cylilic the filter command ignores it. There is no way to filter such words before regional settings come into effect.
