Has anyone successfully queried Pingdoms API? https://www.pingdom.com/resources/api
The API requires both Basic authentication and an API key. How do I do that?
I have managed to get it working for my organisation, with dual authentication.
Are you able to provide any sample code?
We have managed to do this in our organisation, not 100% how we got the app and the auth keys but i'll take a look if you still want to do this,
They are not mentioning multi factor authentication, so it should be doable in Power BI. Unfortunatelly they want my credit card details for a trial account so I can't test the script below.
let
header = [ #"App-Key"="zoent8w9cbt810rsdkweir23vcxb87zrt5541"],
response = Web.Contents("https://api.pingdom.com/api/2.0/checks",[Headers=header]),
out = Json.Document(response,1252)
in
out
But based on the PHP example from
https://www.pingdom.com/resources/api#php+code+example
I bet that you should get some meaningfull results.
By the way. When Power BI prompts you for authentication , make sure to select basic and enter your credentials. That should be sufficient.

I am not aware of a way to do dual authentication in Power Query data sources.
